The first article "I Want a Wife" by Judy Brady was a very feminist view of an everyday issue of gender inequality. Brady was being very satirical and descriptive about how she feels the role of a "wife" is like. She wanted to bring the point that women aren't just objects that men can control, and use as an excuse to everything.
The second article "Men----It's Their Nature" by Christina Hoff Sommers is more fact and study centered then the other article. This one seems a lot less opinionated then the first article. What Sommers is saying in this article is that scientifically men are naturally more aggressive and risk lovers. No matter what environment you put them in they will show their true self, it is not a choice that they can act more feminine, or even more masculine.
Im going to analyze the second article cause i can better relate. The second article is a lot less opinionated, and backs up its statements with facts. The studies made this paper more reliable and convincing every though the first article uses satire to persuade you, facts always outweighs opinion.

My favorite place to go is the most beautiful ballpark in Major League Baseball. The atmosphere
is just so amazing, and the smell of hotdogs and garlic fries make you want to go get some. The
feeling of the brisk air when you walk through the crowded hallways. When it starts raining you can
hear the squeak of a train track that brings the big umbrella like metal that roofs all of our heads to
keep us dry, but my absolute favorite part of my favorite place is the soft padded seats, to enjoy the
beautiful game of americas pastime.

The article "Destroyed" by Peter F. Martin was a satirical piece satirizing the sports fans that
believe the athletes that use PED's or performance enhancing drugs are "Sinners", when in reality
they are only human. The central message of this article is that, the sports fans are acting like the
athletes are super-natural, and are not allotted mistakes, and do not realize that the athletes are the
victims of these addictive drugs.
2. Paraphrase
Steroids and other PED's don't only "bemoan the game to the fans", but they also take a great
physical toll on the athlete's bodies.
3. Favorite Quote
"Athletes--- those who dope, who take steroids, who cheat--- are victims of far more serious
maladies than their sports" (Martin 582). I quoted this particular sentence because it is a defining
moment of the article. This quote explains that these choices are much more than sports, it is their
lives.
